Frequently asked questions
Is InkMeet free for clients?
Yes. Browsing artists, sending project requests and reading reviews are completely free. The only fee you pay is a transparent 5% service fee (minimum €1.50) on the deposit settled online when you book — for example, a €100 deposit costs you €105 total. The remaining balance is then settled directly with the artist, in person or by bank transfer, with no fee.
How much does a tattoo cost on InkMeet?
Tattoo prices vary by artist, style, size and complexity. Each artist sets their own rates. To give you an idea, small tattoos typically start around €80, half-day sessions around €300, and full days €500-€800. Each quote you receive shows the full price upfront — no surprises.
Do I need to create an account to send a request?
Yes. To contact an artist, you create a client account with your email, no password. To view your quote and pay the deposit, sign in with the email the quote was sent to. The consent form is signed through a secure link sent by email.
What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
Each artist sets their own cancellation policy, shown upfront in your quote: full refund window, partial refund window, no-refund window. You can cancel an upcoming appointment in two clicks from your dashboard. Refunds are processed automatically based on the artist's policy.
Are the artists on InkMeet verified?
Not systematically. An artist's page goes public once they have published 3 works, without prior review by InkMeet. The 'verified' badge is granted manually by the InkMeet team and only shows on the profiles that have it. Reviews, on the other hand, can only come from a client whose appointment is completed, one per appointment.
How do I find a tattoo artist near me?
Use our city pages (e.g. /cities/paris, /cities/london) to browse artists in your city, or the city filter in /explore. You can combine the city, style and 'Available for booking' filters.
Can I message the artist before paying anything?
Yes. The first step is always a free conversation. Send your project, share references, ask questions — only when you accept the quote and want to lock in your slot do you pay the deposit.
