What is a touch-up session?

A touch-up session is a short appointment — usually 30 to 60 minutes — booked weeks to months after the original tattoo, to reinforce saturation and sharpen any details that healed unevenly.

Most artists offer a free touch-up within a defined window (often 3 to 6 months) if the client followed proper aftercare.

Examples

  • Reinforcing a colour that faded during healing
  • Sharpening a line on a high-movement area
  • Final polish on a large piece
