How much does InkMeet cost for clients?
Browsing artists, sending requests and chatting are 100% free for clients. The only cost is a 5% InkMeet service fee (minimum €1.50) applied only to the deposit settled online when you confirm a booking (example: a 100€ deposit becomes 105€). The remaining balance is then settled directly with the artist, in person, with no fee. This fee is clearly shown before you pay. No subscription, no signup fee, no hidden charges.
Do I need an account to book a tattoo?
No. You can browse verified portfolios, filter by city or style, contact an artist and open a project without creating an account. A magic link is emailed to you only when you pay the deposit, so your booking and conversation can be retrieved later.
How do deposits and payments work?
Each artist sets their own deposit percentage (10% by default). When you confirm a booking, you pay the deposit via Stripe — funds are collected securely and go directly to the artist's account. The remaining balance is then settled directly with the artist, in person, on the day of the appointment. Only the deposit transits through InkMeet.
How are tattoo artists verified on InkMeet?
Every artist goes through a 7-step onboarding: professional profile, portfolio with healed-shot photos, Instagram connection, availability calendar, booking and cancellation policy, Stripe Connect setup, and ID check. Our team manually reviews each profile before it becomes public, so you only see artists who actually work professionally.
Can I cancel or reschedule after paying the deposit?
Yes. Each artist publishes their own cancellation and rescheduling policy on their profile, which is shown transparently before you pay. Typical policies offer a full refund more than 7 days before the session, a partial refund between 2 and 7 days, and no refund under 48 hours. Rescheduling is usually free when done in time.
How do I contact an artist and share my tattoo idea?
From an artist's profile, open the inquiry form and describe your idea: placement, size, budget, references and dates that suit you. The artist receives your request in their dashboard and replies directly in the InkMeet chat, where you can keep sharing images and refining the project until you agree on a quote.
What happens if I don't get along with the artist during the session?
InkMeet acts as a technical intermediary — the contract for the tattoo is directly between you and the artist. If a dispute arises (quality issue, no-show, refund request), contact the artist first to find a resolution. If you can't reach an agreement, you can open a ticket with our support team who may intervene to help mediate.
Is InkMeet available in my country and language?
InkMeet is available worldwide and ships in 6 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. You can switch language at any time. Artists set their own local currency (EUR, GBP, USD, JPY and more), so prices are always shown in the currency the artist uses.
